Leo 5514
The Leo 5514 is a high-throughput scientific CMOS camera designed for demanding imaging systems that require both large field of view and high frame rates. Built around a back-illuminated (BSI) global shutter sensor, it delivers excellent sensitivity, wide dynamic range, and cost-effective high-speed performance for scientific research and industrial inspection applications.
The Leo 5514 combines a BSI sCMOS sensor with global shutter architecture, achieving up to 83% peak quantum efficiency and <2 e⁻ read noise, enabling low-light, high-speed imaging without motion distortion. This makes it ideal for applications like live-cell imaging, voltage imaging, and other signal-critical measurements.
Equipped with a 30.5 mm diagonal sensor, the Leo 5514 covers a significantly larger imaging area compared to typical camera formats. This helps maximize imaging efficiency, reduce stitching errors, and increase throughput in large sample imaging systems such as spatial biology, genomics, and digital pathology
The camera supports up to 330 fps at full 14 MP resolution via a 40G CoaXPress over Fiber (CoF) interface, providing a balance of high data throughput, low latency, and compatibility with multi-camera synchronized systems. This simplifies integration into high-performance scientific and industrial imaging instruments.
