Munich, Germany — June 24, 2025 — Tucsen Photonics made a strong impression at Laser World of Photonics Munich 2025, debuting its next-generation scientific and industrial camera portfolio and showcasing the company’s latest breakthroughs in sensitivity, speed, and imaging stability.
The exhibition — held at the Munich Exhibition Center — gathered more than 1,350 companies from 43 countries, spanning the entire optoelectronics value chain. It served as a global platform for emerging innovations across biophotonics, advanced manufacturing, and quantum technologies.
Next-Generation Imaging Portfolio
Tucsen presented its latest sCMOS and CMOS camera portfolio, featuring:
Aries Series — high-sensitivity back-illuminated sCMOS cameras for low-light scientific imaging.
Leo Series — large-format, high-speed global shutter BSI sCMOS cameras for high-throughput applications.
Gemini Series —The next-generation TDI line-scan solution achieving up to 1 MHz line rates.
Libra Series — compact global shutter CMOS cameras designed for biological imaging, industrial inspection, and automation.
These series highlight Tucsen’s continuous commitment to developing cutting-edge solutions for both scientific research and industrial precision imaging.
Key Product Highlights
Aries 6504 — Built on a back-illuminated sCMOS sensor with a peak quantum efficiency (QE) of 95%, this model delivers ultra-low readout noise of 0.43 e⁻ RMS, a frame rate of 300 fps at 4.2 MP, and a deep-cooling architecture for stable long-term operation. These capabilities enable exceptional clarity in dynamic, ultra-low-light environments — ideal for live-cell super-resolution microscopy, single-molecule tracking, and electrophysiological imaging.

Leo 5514 Pro — Featuring a BSI global shutter architecture, the Leo 5514 Pro achieves 670 fps at 14 MP while maintaining high sensitivity and dynamic range. By overcoming traditional trade-offs among field of view, speed, and full-well capacity, it establishes a powerful imaging platform for high-content screening, spatial biology, digital pathology, and gene sequencing.
Gemini 8K TDI — Developed for advanced packaging and wafer-level defect inspection, the Gemini 8K combines a QE of 63.9% at 266 nm deep-UV with a 1 MHz line rate, delivering superior signal uniformity and throughput for real-time semiconductor process control.
Pioneering the Future of sCMOS Imaging
At the exhibition, Chen Bing, Founder and General Manager of Tucsen, stated:
“Throughout this evolution, we have continuously pushed the boundaries of sCMOS technology. Each generation of our cameras brings new advancements in sensitivity, speed, and stability—building a versatile foundation for both scientific imaging and demanding industrial inspection. We believe that innovative sCMOS technologies will become an irreplaceable ‘photon ruler’ across emerging fields such as biomedicine, semiconductors, and quantum technology.”
